Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints encouraged members this week to find ways to declutter their lives, focus on Christ’s light and to see their divine identity.

“In the beginning I thought we were being called to a calling,” said Young Women General President Bonnie H. Cordon on July 23, “when really we were being called to friendships.”

Sunday School General President Mark L. Pace, posted on Instagram on July 28: “Life is so much better with Jesus Christ in it! Make an effort to search His words in the scriptures, and I promise that your relationship with Him will blossom and you will experience His healing power.”

On July 24, Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson, shared the gratitude she has for the women in her life who were “emissaries of the Savior” and who “rescued me when I felt tired, discouraged or overwhelmed.”

“We partner with the Savior to provide relief, even coming to the rescue of our sisters and brothers,” said President Johnson.

Sister Rebecca L. Craven, second counselor in the Young Women general presidency, posted on Instagram on July 26, “Clutter, whether it’s a messy home or a messy schedule, can cause feelings of anxiety and stress and can cloud our ability to recognize the promptings of the Spirit or feel the love of God.”

“God’s love and light keep my divine identity as a beloved daughter of God in the forefront and is how I choose to present myself and navigate my way in my daily life,” said Sister Tracy Y. Browning, second counselor in the Primary general presidency, on July 27.

On July 24, Sister Kristin M. Yee, second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, reminded young single adults to sign up for the “Together in Christ” concert that’s part of the Utah Area Young Single Adult Conference.

On July 25, Sister Amy A. Wright, first counselor in the Primary general presidency, talked about her trip to Iceland with her family last year. She spoke of the importance of enduring amidst life’s difficulties.
