On July 9, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles talked about what it means to have an ongoing Restoration in the Church. “Through the Prophet Joseph Smith, the Savior laid the foundation for the Restoration of His Church on the earth,” he said.

He is one of several Church leaders to post on social media this week.

On July 11, the Young Men and Young Women general presidencies shared tips and insights about how to make prayer more meaningful. Here are the things they shared;

Young Women General President Bonnie H. Cordon shared insights about the word meaning behind “amen.”

President Cordon also shared a couple new videos from the Church about taking charge of technology, on July 12.

In the second video she shared, President Cordon asked, “What is your plan for using technology in righteous and helpful ways as a disciple of Jesus Christ?”

“One of the most beautiful things Heavenly Father invites us to pray about is forgiveness,” says Young Men General President Steven J. Lund.

Sister Michelle D. Craig, first counselor in the Young Women general presidency, told members about including gratitude in their prayers. “The blessings we recognize don’t have to be big,” she said.

Brother Bradley R. Wilcox, first counselor in the Young Men general presidency, reminded members that prayer “is about acknowledging God as our source of help and strengthening our relationship with Him.”

Sister Rebecca L. Craven, second counselor in the Young Women general presidency, talked about her own struggle with concentrating during her prayers. “That was my constant battle for years,” she said.

Brother Michael T. Nelson, second counselor in the Young Men general presidency, shared a story of when their youngest son went missing at a theme park. He tells what he learned from the experience saying that prayer “can give you the power to move forward, the power to see and the power to hear.”
