Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints focused on lifting members via social media this week by sharing messages encouraging them to love others and to seek personal revelation.

“If it weren’t typical to make day-to-day deviations from the commandments, He [the Savior] wouldn’t have told us to partake of the sacrament every week,” said President Dallin H. Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency, on July 20.

Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson posted about the importance of receiving revelation. “God knows you. He knows your situation. He knows your heart. Trust in the Lord, learn to hear His voice, and then go forward with confidence and relief.”

“Heavenly Father hears your prayers,” posted President Henry B. Eyring, second counselor in the First Presidency, on July 16. “I promise that He pours out revelation upon all of us through the Holy Ghost as we seek His guidance.”

In a video on Instagram, July 18, Sister Tracy Y. Browning, second counselor in the Primary general presidency, said when referencing a Primary song, “We’re not to exclude anyone in our love.”

On July 19, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles posted about the importance of using agency to work out spiritual questions and concerns.

“Rather than rely only upon our own intellect and capacity, we strive to obtain eyes of faith to receive and recognize direction that comes from God by the power of the Holy Ghost,” wrote Elder Bednar said, who also spoke on the topic BYU–Idaho’s graduation Wednesday, July 20. “Truly, believing is seeing what we otherwise could never see and learning what we otherwise could never learn.”

“We are friends, and the friendship is sweeter because it is based on a great love of Jesus Christ and a desire to further His work,” said Sister Michelle D. Craig, first counselor in the Young Women general presidency, on July 16.

Sister Kristin M. Yee, second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, posted a video on July 15 encouraging young adults to participate in the largest young single adult conference the Church has ever held.

On July 18, Elder D. Todd Christofferson shared tips to help missionaries understand how they can help others learn how to read the Book of Mormon for themselves.

“Reading and studying the Book of Mormon each day, even if at times it is only a few verses, is key to our own lifelong conversion,” he said.

General Young Women President Bonnie H. Cordon shared a reference guide on July 16 on how members can “take charge of technology.”

Primary General President Susan H. Porter asked the question on July 21: “How can you support children as they strive to keep their baptismal covenants?”

“The gospel is inclusive,” Brother Milton Camargo, first counselor in the Sunday School general presidency, wrote in a post on July 19.

Sister Amy A. Wright, first counselor in the Primary general presidency, quoted Joseph Fielding McConkie in a Facebook post on July 19: “When we make our ancestors’ lives important to us, then our lives become important to them, and they will be praying for us on the other side of the veil.”

Sharing a story of one of her own ancestors, she testified that she feels them near as she learns more of their stories.
